The process starts in the design phase and flows through to your finishing touches such as paint, carpet and tile. Here is a brief description of each step:
1. The Design: We first assess your needs, do a site evaluation, review possible repurposing of existing space, look at how the design can utilize the sun, and the best use of space to keep your home energy efficient.
2. Materials and Waste: We look at what recycled products can be used, what lumber from non old-growth trees can be used, how your deconstruction is done and what can be salvaged or recycled. We only work with vendors and subcontractors that can meet our environmental needs.
3. Energy: In addition to how the design impacts your energy use, we look at what energy efficient options are available for heating and cooling your home, conserving water and lighting.
4. Indoor Environmental Quality: And the fun part, the finishing touches. We make recommendations on environmentally friendly products such as recycled glass tiles, no VOC paints, 100% biodegradable carpet, marmoleum, bamboo flooring and light fixtures made from recycled aluminum. |

Quote:
This we know, the earth does not belong to man, man belongs to the earth. All things are connected like the blood that unites us all. Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself."
– Chief Seattle to the President

Today's population uses in one day what it took nature 10,000 days to create.
